Omar Di Bongo is an audio-visual project that melts video feedback from Hugo Saugier with two figure of french underground techno scene : Somaticae (In Paradisum, Tanzprocesz...) known for his dark cutting edge techno, and C_C (Small But Hard, Kvitnu...) master of feedbacks, and savage analog industrial beats. Their music merges industrial music with tribal polyrythms, and makes us dive into a certain kind of psychedelia, hallucinated or demented. Their productions bring back techno to its core, the trance dimension, often fogotten in many modern musics of this genre.
Omar Di Bongo c’est la rencontre entre les rythmes sec d’une figure désormais installée de la techno, Somaticae, et la fureur des grooves noises de C_C, le tout baigné par les feedbacks vidéos d’Hugo Saugier. Leur musique offre une plongée, entre hallucination et démence, dans une certaine frange de la musique psychédélique. Réduite à l’essentielle, les productions du trio alliant musique industrielle et polyrythmies tribales ramènent la techno à une dimension de transe, bien souvent mise de côté dans les grosses productions actuelles du genre.
